Vegan chocolate avocado smoothies


World vegan month is drawing to a close, but I have one last trick up my sleeve. I've only gone and made a smoothie and put avocado in it. You're probably thinking, why has he done that? Why? Because avocados are legit badass superfoods sent down from the fruit gods, thats why. These green, leathery-skinned fruits contain enough nutrients to bring you back from the dead and contain a tonne of antioxidants that are super good for your eyes. YES, I said super good for your eyes — so now you can continue looking at food on Instagram guilt-free so long as you're sipping on one of these slippery boiz. It was a match made in heaven, a culinary love triangle and without too much time the almond milk, avocado and cocoa powder made a rockstar lovechild that tastes so delicious you'll be convinced that you're in love with the coco, just like I am. Anyway, here's how to make vegan chocolate avocado smoothies.



TIME: 5 Minutes SERVES: 2



INGREDIENTS:


600ml unsweetened almond milk

1 banana

1/2 an avocado

2 heaped tablespoons of cocoa powder

2 tablespoons of ground flax seed

3 teaspoons of honey

1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

Small handful of ice cubes


MAKE IT:


1.) In a blender, add ALL of the ingredients and pulse for 1 minute.


2.) Serve in two glasses, cold, with a mint garnish. It’s that easy!
